traditional steps.  The Dixie Starz compete in competitions each year

sanctioned by Clogging Champions of America (CCA), National Clogging

and Hoedown Council (NCHC), and America's Clogging Hall of Fame (ACHF).  In

the 2 years this team competed on the Amateur level in CCA, they received many

grand champion awards in 6 different categories.  These wins qualified them for the

CCA Showdown of Champions.  Awards the team won from this dance-off are:

2002 National Champion Junior Team, 2002 National Champion Amateur Artistic

Expression Team, 2003 National Champion Artistic Expression Team, 2004 2nd

Runner-up Junior Challenge Artistic Expression Team.  For the last several years,

the Dixie Starz have won numerous overall awards at the Georgia-Carolina

Clogging Classic, an ACHF qualifying event held in Augusta, Georgia. The
